Who We Are?
Treasure Coast Ladies Flag is an all girls travel flag football organization based out of Treasure Coast, Florida.
Our mission is to empower young female athletes through the game of flag football. We strive to create a competitive, supportive, and inclusive environment where girls can develop their skills, build confidence, and foster lifelong teamwork and leadership abilities. Through elite training, strong mentorship, and high-level competition, we aim to pave the way for future opportunities in sports while promoting resilience, sportsmanship, and a passion for the game. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of female athletes to break barriers and redefine what’s possible on and off the field.
Meet Our Founder
Ruben Carter
Ruben Carter played football at Florida State University from 2011 to 2015, winning a National Championship in 2013 and earning his bachelor’s degree in 2015. He went on to play professionally in the NFL and CFL, with stints on the Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, Calgary Stampeders, and Montreal Alouettes.
For the past eight years, Ruben has been dedicated to mentoring, training, and coaching youth athletes in both the Treasure Coast area and his hometown of Miami, Florida. He currently operates Under The Lights Flag Football Port Saint Lucie, a national co-ed flag football program serving children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Recognizing the lack of girls’ travel flag football opportunities in the Treasure Coast, Ruben founded Treasure Coast Ladies Flag. His mission is to provide female athletes with a professional travel program that offers college exposure, fosters high-level competition, and instills sportsmanship, helping young athletes reach their full potential.
